Ongoing improvement programme / Conversion and Performance

Improve the live journey in measured cycles, without turning weak data or short-term clicks into a success story.

Pricing is available upon request because the programme is defined by the number of live journeys, evidence quality, implementation environment, research access, release capacity and decision cadence—not by a generic bundle of tests. NobleJackal runs a recurring improvement system for organisations that already have a live website or product and need to decide what to fix, ship and learn next. The work joins qualified-conversion measurement, behavioural and qualitative research, hypothesis management, accessible interface improvement, Core Web Vitals, controlled experiments, production QA and a durable learning record. It does not promise a percentage lift, a fixed test count, statistical significance, revenue or permanent growth.

01 / Programme contract and qualified action

Choose the commercial decision worth improving before filling a backlog with attractive but irrelevant ideas.

The programme begins with a written decision contract. A useful conversion might be a qualified consultation request, an eligible application, a viable trial, a completed purchase, an appropriate booking or a meaningful account action. A button click, PDF download or form start can help diagnose the journey, but it is not automatically demand and it is never reported as equivalent to a sale. We name the intended audience, primary action, supporting signals, qualification rule, downstream confirming system and the person who can judge whether the action was commercially useful.

Every rate has a denominator, and a convenient denominator can tell a convenient story. We define whether the eligible population consists of users, sessions, accounts, opportunities or completed transactions; how repeat actions are handled; and which dates, routes, sources, devices, markets and customer states belong in the comparison. Bots, internal use, test traffic, duplicate events, accidental taps and known spam are excluded. Branded traffic, existing customers and high-intent campaigns are not blended with first-time discovery merely to produce a larger headline percentage.

Primary measures sit beside guardrails. More submissions can be a loss if the enquiries are irrelevant, more checkouts can conceal cancellations, and a faster interaction can still exclude keyboard or assistive-technology users. Depending on the journey, the guardrail register may include sales acceptance, margin, refund or cancellation, support load, completion errors, accessibility, privacy and consent, performance, search continuity and brand risk. A change is not called an improvement when it moves one visible number by transferring the cost somewhere else.

NobleJackal and the client agree programme capacity rather than pretending that every idea can run at once. The proposal identifies the included journeys, markets and devices; research and implementation responsibilities; meeting and reporting rhythm; available design, copy, analytics and engineering capacity; release authority; review participants; and any minimum term. Pricing upon request means those variables are costed in writing. It does not mean an open-ended retainer, unlimited development or an unspecified obligation to keep producing tests regardless of evidence.

01

Qualified action

Name the audience, useful action, fit rule, confirming system and business owner; keep diagnostic micro-actions in their proper place.

02

Eligible population

Fix the denominator, segment definitions, date window, exclusions and repeat-action rules before any baseline or comparison is accepted.

03

Guardrail register

Record the commercial, experience, accessibility, privacy, performance and brand conditions that must not deteriorate.

04

Capacity contract

State journeys, disciplines, cycle, decision rights, implementation allowance, term and third-party dependencies in the proposal.

02 / Measurement integrity and observation

Repair what the evidence means before asking a dashboard to choose the next release.

We trace the measurement chain from entry to confirmed outcome. Page and screen views, calls to action, form states, validation failures, purchases, calendars, calls, chat, product actions, CRM stages and offline outcomes are mapped where they belong. Each important event needs a trigger, expected parameters, consent condition, deduplication rule, destination, owner and plain-language commercial meaning. Browser evidence is compared with analytics and downstream records far enough to detect missing, doubled, reordered or misclassified actions.

Consent determines what may be observed. Optional analytics, advertising tags, recordings, heatmaps, surveys and research tools are used only within the client’s approved legal and technical basis. Sensitive form values, confidential brief content and unnecessary personal data do not belong in analytics payloads or replay tools. NobleJackal can implement an approved consent rule and test its states, but jurisdiction-specific legal advice remains with the client’s qualified adviser. An optimisation programme is not permission to collect everything that a vendor makes technically possible.

The baseline is versioned with its context. Campaigns, price changes, stock, seasonality, outages, releases, sales-process changes, tracking defects and unusual traffic can alter a rate without the interface causing the change. We preserve these conditions, identify data gaps and separate field experience from laboratory diagnosis. Core Web Vitals are read by route, device and real-user population when sufficient field data exists; Lighthouse and controlled traces help find faults, but a lab score is not presented as the experience of every visitor.

Not all organisations have enough stable traffic for a reliable randomised experiment. Low-volume and long-cycle journeys often need usability work, technical diagnosis, message clarification and controlled before-and-after observation instead. The evidence register labels randomised tests, quasi-experiments, observational comparisons, qualitative findings, defect reports and expert judgement as different classes. If the available evidence cannot support a causal conclusion, the report says so. A chart that rose after release is not quietly renamed proof that the release caused the rise.

01

Event dictionary

Version the event, trigger, parameters, consent state, owner, destination, test case and business interpretation.

02

Journey reconciliation

Compare browser behaviour, analytics, forms, commerce or CRM records to expose loss, duplication and misleading stage labels.

03

Context ledger

Keep campaigns, incidents, releases, pricing and market changes beside the baseline so history is not rewritten later.

04

Evidence class

Distinguish experiments, observations, research findings and professional judgement before a claim is made from them.

03 / Research and opportunity queue

Turn observed friction into testable questions, then fund the questions that matter enough to answer.

Continuous improvement needs more than an analytics export. We inspect funnels and paths, landing-page promise, on-site search, form abandonment, validation errors, device and browser differences, performance traces, support themes and sales objections. With approval, moderated usability sessions, interviews, enquiry reviews, surveys, recordings or heatmaps add context. Behaviour shows where something happened; it does not reliably explain why. Qualitative accounts reveal motives and language, but they do not establish population frequency on their own.

Friction is classified before a solution is proposed. A person may be blocked by poor relevance, unclear language, missing evidence, commercial uncertainty, interaction cost, technical failure, accessibility, fear, timing or simple lack of fit. Not every hesitation should disappear. Prices, eligibility, commitment and limitations can create useful friction that protects both parties. We remove accidental difficulty and unanswered doubt, while preserving informed choice and rejecting hidden charges, forced continuity, false scarcity, disguised advertising or other deceptive interface patterns.

Each opportunity becomes a falsifiable hypothesis. The record states the observed problem, affected audience, evidence, likely mechanism, proposed intervention, primary measure, guardrails, dependencies and the result that would weaken the explanation. ‘Change the headline’ is a task, not a hypothesis. The useful question is why a specific promise, proof sequence, form treatment, navigation path or performance repair should help this audience make a better decision at this stage—and what else might explain the observed movement.

The queue is prioritised by evidence strength, commercial relevance, reach, urgency, effort, dependency, reversibility and downside. A severe form failure may outrank a promising copy test; a small accessibility repair may be both urgent and easy; a broad redesign may remain deferred until the team understands the actual failure. Rejected and paused ideas stay visible with reasons. That record prevents the loudest stakeholder, newest tool or most dramatic competitor screenshot from resetting the programme every month.

01

Mixed evidence

Bring quantitative behaviour, qualitative accounts, technical defects and commercial feedback together without pretending they prove the same thing.

02

Friction map

Locate the audience, route, stage, device and context; separate accidental obstruction from useful qualification and genuine lack of fit.

03

Hypothesis record

State mechanism, intervention, outcome, guardrails, dependencies and rejection condition before production effort begins.

04

Priority queue

Order work by evidence, relevance, reach, risk, effort and reversibility; preserve the reason for every decision.

04 / Experiment, implementation and performance

Ship one interpretable change at a time, protect the live product and know how to stop.

When a controlled experiment is justified, its protocol is agreed before exposure. We define assignment unit, control and variants, target population, exclusions, primary outcome, guardrails, implementation integrity, sample or duration rule, minimum detectable effect where appropriate, novelty and seasonality risks, contamination, stop conditions and decision rule. Repeated peeking, switching the primary metric after seeing the data, running many unregistered comparisons or declaring victory from an early favourable chart are not acceptable substitutes for a planned analysis.

Experiment health is monitored separately from business outcome. Allocation, exposure, event coverage, consent state, caching, route consistency, device and locale behaviour, browser errors and sample-ratio anomalies can invalidate a result. A neutral outcome may be informative; a negative result may disprove a confident assumption; an inconclusive result may reveal that the programme needs more time, a larger effect or a different method. We keep all three categories. There is no obligation to manufacture a winner for a monthly report.

Some improvements should not wait for a split test. Broken validation, misleading copy, inaccessible controls, security defects and severe performance regressions can be repaired through a documented risk decision and controlled release. Every production change has a defined source, review evidence, test environment where available, responsive and browser checks, accessibility checks, analytics validation, deployment scope, rollback or stop path and post-release observation. The programme does not leave a winning variant trapped indefinitely in a third-party testing script when the owned product should contain it.

Performance work protects the journey rather than chasing a single synthetic score. We examine server and network delay, loading sequence, images, fonts, scripts, third parties, interaction cost, visual stability and critical transaction steps. LCP, INP and CLS are interpreted with field data at the recommended population threshold when available; repeatable lab traces support diagnosis and release control. Budgets are set by route and function. A faster page is not accepted if it removes necessary information, breaks consent, damages accessibility or sends a qualified buyer into a weaker decision path.

01

Registered protocol

Freeze assignment, variants, audience, outcome, guardrails, duration or sample logic, risks and decision rule before exposure.

02

Experiment health

Check allocation, exposure, event quality, sample ratio, locale, device, caching and concurrent changes before reading the result.

03

Controlled release

Use scoped source, review, QA, deployment, rollback and observation evidence whether or not a randomised test is possible.

04

Performance budget

Set route-level experience limits and diagnose field and lab signals without sacrificing content, access or commercial qualification.

05 / Decision cadence, learning and boundaries

Keep the programme accountable to decisions made and knowledge retained—not activity theatre.

Each cycle has a visible operating rhythm: evidence review, priority decision, research or specification, implementation, QA, exposure or release, analysis and a recorded next action. The exact cadence depends on traffic, release constraints and capacity; it is not automatically weekly or monthly. One complex checkout, multilingual service journey or account workflow may deserve more attention than several superficial landing-page edits. The client supplies timely decisions, access, product and sales context, legal approvals and technical cooperation named in the proposal.

The learning register keeps the question, evidence sources, hypothesis, version, audience, dates, implementation status, result, uncertainty, guardrails, decision and follow-up together. It distinguishes movement in an on-page action from qualified pipeline, realised revenue and long-term customer value. Results are segmented only where the sample and decision justify it. Incomplete, neutral and negative work remains searchable so a future team does not repeat the same uncertainty or quote a decontextualised uplift as permanent truth.

Reporting is designed for action. Decision owners see what changed, what evidence supports it, what remains unknown, which guardrails moved, what was shipped or rolled back, what the team learned and what decision is due next. The service does not guarantee conversion lift, significance, leads, pipeline, sales, revenue, ranking, Core Web Vitals passage or any fixed number of experiments. External demand, offer quality, traffic composition, sales follow-up, stock, price and market conditions remain capable of overwhelming an interface change.

Conversion Architecture is the separate bounded project for organisations that first need the journey, measurement and implementation plan designed. SEO and GEO Optimisation concerns qualified discovery and acquisition. Managed Site Operations covers availability, releases, incidents and recovery. Reporting and Decision Systems may build broader executive data infrastructure. This recurring programme uses those capabilities where the signed scope includes them, but it does not silently absorb a new website, original content production, brand strategy, paid media, traffic acquisition, analytics or testing licences, participant incentives, CRM reconstruction or engineering beyond the agreed capacity.

01

Operating cycle

Connect evidence review, one accountable decision, implementation, QA, release, analysis and follow-up in a cadence the data can support.

02

Learning repository

Preserve versions, audiences, dates, evidence type, uncertainty and decisions, including neutral and negative results.

03

Decision report

Show what changed, what is known, what is not, which guardrails moved and who owns the next action.

04

Scope boundary

Keep architecture, acquisition, site operations, reporting infrastructure, software, media, tools and excess delivery capacity explicitly separate.

Connected improvement evidence

A conversion programme touches acquisition, product, operations and reporting, but clear boundaries keep the work comparable and governable.

The written proposal defines routes, audiences, markets, research, implementation capacity, tools, cadence, term, acceptance and decision ownership. No adjacent service, licence, recruitment cost or commercial result is implied merely because it could influence conversion.
Systems Management

Primary measurement, research and experience guidance

The programme uses public technical guidance to classify evidence and protect experience; none of these sources endorses NobleJackal or predicts an uplift.

The sources below support event design, funnel interpretation, field and laboratory performance measurement, accessible interaction, comparison of proportions, iterative user research and the rejection of deceptive interface patterns. The client’s own baseline and observed outcomes still control each decision.

Buyer questions

What should be agreed before an ongoing conversion and performance programme begins?

01Why is the price available upon request?

The real unit of work is not a generic monthly bundle. The proposal prices the number and complexity of live journeys, locales and devices; measurement condition; research access; design, copy, analytics and engineering capacity; release environment; reporting cadence; term; and third-party dependencies. It states exactly what can enter a cycle and how excess work is handled. Pricing upon request does not create unlimited capacity or a hidden obligation.

02How is this different from the USD 7,500 Conversion Architecture project?

Conversion Architecture is a bounded starting project that defines the decision journey, evidence and measurement contract, friction, interface direction and implementation or experiment plan. Conversion and Performance Improvement is the recurring service that operates an agreed queue, carries out research, implements and releases changes, monitors experiment or observational evidence and preserves learning. A client may begin with architecture, but the ongoing programme is separately scoped and priced.

03Do you guarantee a conversion lift or a fixed number of A/B tests?

No. Reliable experiments depend on traffic, allocation, detectable effect, implementation health, duration and stable conditions. Some journeys should use research, defect repair or controlled observation instead of a split test. We do not guarantee lift, significance, leads, sales or revenue, and we do not manufacture a test count when the evidence or delivery environment cannot support it. The proposal defines capacity and the decision process, not a quota of favourable charts.

04Are analytics tools, user research, copy, design and development included?

Only the volumes and responsibilities named in the written proposal are included. Access to analytics and downstream evidence is normally required. Analytics or experimentation licences, session-replay tools, participant recruitment and incentives, paid traffic, original content production, a new website, CRM reconstruction and development beyond the agreed capacity remain separate. Consent, privacy, brand and legal approvals stay with the named client owners.

05How will we know whether the programme is working?

Before work starts, we agree the qualified action, eligible population, baseline conditions, guardrails, evidence classes and decision owners. Each cycle records what changed, release and measurement health, what the evidence supports, what remains uncertain, commercial-quality feedback and the next decision. Programme health can be assessed through resolved defects, reliable instrumentation, decision throughput and retained learning; commercial outcomes are reported only when the relevant downstream evidence exists.
