EXECUTIVE AI AVATARS / CONSENT, PRODUCTION AND CONTROL

A digital likeness should extend an approved message, not impersonate the person behind it.

Pricing is supplied upon request because an executive AI avatar is not priced by video length alone. Scope changes with the people and identities represented; scripted or interactive behaviour; markets, languages and channels; capture and voice requirements; source knowledge; model and platform choices; integrations; review, disclosure and moderation duties; hosting, retention and security; publishing capacity; and the term for which the likeness may be used. NobleJackal can design a controlled scripted-video system, a bounded interactive knowledge avatar, or a staged route between them. The written proposal names the exact people, uses, outputs, permissions and operating boundary. It does not promise a perfect likeness, error-free speech, autonomous expertise, legal compliance in every territory, audience response, cost reduction or commercial return.

01 / PURPOSE

Choose the kind of avatar before choosing the face on screen.

‘AI avatar’ can describe several materially different systems. A scripted video avatar renders an approved text as a controlled recording. An interactive knowledge avatar receives questions and generates responses from a bounded information set. A live digital human may add speech recognition, animation, retrieval, integrations and real-time delivery. These formats do not carry the same risk, operating cost or evidence burden. NobleJackal begins by deciding which behaviour is actually required, and may recommend the simpler format when a prerecorded answer can do the job more reliably.

The brief names the human being, role or fictional identity represented and the audience that will encounter it. It records the intended use: leadership communication, product explanation, onboarding, internal training, multilingual instruction, event support or another approved purpose. It also records where the avatar must not appear. ‘Digital twin’ is used only as a convenient market term; it never implies that a model owns the executive’s judgement, authority, memories or unrestricted permission to speak on their behalf.

A channel register separates website, learning platform, private portal, social media, sales presentation, event installation and internal system. Each channel has its own audience, edit path, disclosure, accessibility, moderation, data and removal conditions. A file approved for a closed employee course is not automatically cleared for a public advertisement. A voice approved in English is not permission to create every language or emotional delivery. Purpose, territory, language, channel, term and decision owner are explicit fields rather than assumptions hidden inside a vendor account.

The proposal fixes the commercial unit: named identity owners, scripted or interactive mode, approved use cases, languages, capture sessions, source material, video or response volume, variants, vendors, integrations, review rounds, publishing responsibility, service hours, retention and handover. Pricing upon request does not buy an unlimited virtual spokesperson. Film production, Sonic Identity, AI Agents, International Content Systems, custom software, media buying and continuing moderation or content production remain separate unless expressly included.

01

Mode

Decide whether the requirement is an approved recording, a bounded conversation or a live integrated experience.

02

Identity

Name the person, role or fictional character and prohibit any implication of authority the system does not hold.

03

Use register

Fix audience, purpose, channel, territory, language, term, owner and prohibited contexts.

04

Written boundary

State volumes, variants, reviews, platforms, integrations, operation, third-party costs and exclusions before capture.

02 / CONSENT

Permission must survive the launch meeting.

A signed approval to attend a filming session is not, by itself, a complete licence for a synthetic likeness. The identity record describes what will be captured, which face and voice models may be created, who may operate them, the purposes and channels allowed, territories and languages, the permitted term, whether adaptations are possible, and how approval can be withdrawn. It distinguishes the rights and duties of the represented person, employer, producer, model provider, voice provider, publisher and any downstream agency. Qualified legal advisers settle the applicable contract, personality, employment, privacy and advertising questions.

Consent is treated as an operating control, not a one-time checkbox. The represented person sees the intended behaviour, sample output and material limitations before release. New uses, languages, emotional performances, sensitive topics, model providers or distribution channels return for approval unless the written permission already covers them precisely. The system has a named route for pausing publication, revoking access, removing assets and recording what remains with a third-party provider. A departing executive or expired campaign cannot be handled by merely hiding a link.

Source media has its own rights ledger. Photographs, video, voice recordings, music, scripts, translations, brand assets, stock material and training or reference data are traced to their source, owner, permission, term and technical destination. Client-supplied material is not assumed to be clear merely because it can be downloaded. Voice cloning or likeness generation for a person who has not given direct, informed written permission is excluded. So are deceptive impersonation, political manipulation, fraud, undisclosed endorsements and attempts to make an avatar appear to have personally said something it did not approve.

Disclosure and provenance are designed for the destination rather than added as a cosmetic badge. Viewers should be able to understand when they are watching or speaking with synthetic media, especially where the context could create a false belief. Machine-readable provenance or Content Credentials may be used where the production chain and platform support them, but provenance metadata is not a universal truth detector and may be stripped in distribution. Visible language, captions, publication records, version identifiers and original masters remain part of the evidence. Legal applicability is reviewed for the jurisdiction and use; the references below are not a substitute for advice.

01

Identity-use record

Record capture, model, operator, purpose, channel, territory, language, term, adaptation and withdrawal conditions.

02

Renewed approval

Return material changes in use, provider, language, performance or audience to the authorised people.

03

Rights ledger

Trace every face, voice, script, image, recording, model input and third-party asset to a permitted source.

04

Disclosure and provenance

Pair clear audience disclosure with versioned production evidence and supported machine-readable provenance.

03 / KNOWLEDGE

The avatar may look like an executive; its answers still need an editor.

For scripted video, the approved script is the source of truth. Claims, prices, dates, instructions, legal qualifications, names and pronunciations are reviewed before rendering. The production record connects each final video to the script version, language owner, identity approval and release decision. A polished face must not disguise an unsupported claim. When circumstances change, the output is amended or withdrawn rather than left online because producing a new version is inconvenient.

An interactive avatar needs a narrower knowledge contract. The team names the documents, databases and approved pages it may use; the questions it may answer; the topics it must refuse or route to a human; the freshness requirement; citation behaviour; and the actions it is forbidden to take. Retrieval can improve grounding but does not remove hallucination, prompt injection or stale-source risk. The interface must not present generated speech as the executive’s personal recollection or professional decision when the system is only synthesising an answer from configured sources.

Multilingual production is not a button that multiplies an English master. Each locale has a named language owner and an approved terminology, address form, pronunciation list, number and date convention, disclosure line and escalation route. Scripts are transcreated for the audience and then checked in the rendered output, because voice models can change emphasis, names or meaning even when the written text is correct. Lip synchronisation, pacing and visual movement are evaluated for the specific language; an impressive English demo is not evidence that Arabic, German, Russian, Spanish or Turkish will perform equally well.

High-consequence subjects remain under human authority. Medical, legal, financial, employment, safety, public-policy and crisis communication may require qualified review, restricted response patterns or complete exclusion from interactive delivery. The avatar does not diagnose, sign, approve, promise, hire, dismiss or bind the organisation unless a separately authorised system and applicable process genuinely permit that action. Ambiguous questions, missing evidence, conflicts and personal-data requests are routed to a named person instead of being covered with fluent speculation.

01

Script authority

Connect every released recording to an approved script, claims record, language owner and identity approval.

02

Knowledge boundary

Name allowed sources, questions, refusals, freshness, citations, escalation and prohibited actions.

03

Native locale review

Review meaning, terminology, pronunciation, captions, pacing, disclosure and cultural fit in the rendered language.

04

Human authority

Keep consequential advice, commitments, exceptions and uncertain answers with qualified decision owners.

04 / BUILD

Production quality and system safety are tested separately.

Capture is planned around the selected platform and final use. Lighting, framing, wardrobe, background, performance, clean speech, phonetic prompts and consent evidence are recorded deliberately. The team confirms what the provider needs, what it retains, whether the source can be deleted, where processing occurs, which people can create new output and how model access is revoked. A studio day may improve the source material, but it does not by itself establish a safe operating system or a believable result in every scene.

Visual and vocal acceptance uses named samples and conditions. We check identity fit, unwanted facial or hand artefacts, gaze, blinking, lip synchronisation, pronunciation, names, numbers, cadence, emotion, cuts, framing, colour, audio clarity, captions and player behaviour. The standard is not ‘looks real’. It is whether the commissioned output is accurate enough for its stated purpose, clearly disclosed, technically sound and approved by the identity owner. Known model limitations, difficult phonemes and failed contexts stay in the record rather than disappearing from the final presentation.

Interactive avatars receive an application threat model in addition to media QA. Testing covers direct and indirect prompt injection, hidden instructions in retrieved files, sensitive-data disclosure, unauthorised source access, fabricated answers, output handling, excessive permissions, abusive input, rate and cost exhaustion, session separation, logs and vendor failure. Tools and integrations use least privilege and deterministic checks around any consequential function. Human approval is required before the system publishes, sends, changes or commits anything outside the narrow authority granted to it.

Privacy and telemetry are specified before launch. The interface states what user audio, text, images, identifiers and analytics are collected, why, where they travel, how long they remain and who can inspect them. Logging must support incidents and quality review without quietly retaining unnecessary conversation or secrets. Test data and production data are separated where the architecture permits. Security, privacy and legal reviews are commissioned to the depth stated in writing; no platform choice or checklist is described as automatic compliance.

01

Controlled capture

Record source quality, consent evidence, provider requirements, retention, operators and deletion or revocation routes.

02

Rendered-output QA

Test face, voice, speech, captions, timing, player and disclosure against named samples and acceptance criteria.

03

Interactive threat model

Test hostile inputs, untrusted sources, data exposure, false answers, permissions, integrations and resource limits.

04

Privacy boundary

Define collected data, purpose, location, retention, access, telemetry health and deletion before users arrive.

05 / OPERATE

An avatar needs a publisher, an off switch and an expiry date.

Release control ties each public or internal output to an approved identity, script or knowledge version, model configuration, language, channel and publisher. A named owner can stop publication without waiting for the production supplier. Access is role-based; shared passwords and unbounded generation links are not a governance model. The release record separates draft, approved, live, superseded, withdrawn and deleted states. A successful render or HTTP response does not prove that the content is accurate, appropriately disclosed or authorised for that audience.

Operation includes provider health, knowledge freshness, response sampling, refusal behaviour, disclosure presence, caption availability, data flow, cost limits and complaints. An interactive system also needs a route for users to reach a human and for staff to report a harmful or surprising answer. Incidents are classified by identity misuse, misinformation, privacy, security, rights, accessibility and operational impact. The runbook names who can disable the interface, revoke credentials, preserve evidence, contact the provider, notify affected owners and approve return to service.

Change control matters because the model, voice engine, source knowledge, interface and platform can all change independently. Material updates are tested against a fixed evaluation set that includes normal questions, refusals, pronunciation, multilingual cases, adversarial prompts and high-risk boundaries. Results are compared to the accepted version and regressions are recorded. Vendor release notes and marketing claims are inputs, not acceptance evidence. New capability remains disabled until the authorised owner understands its data, rights and behaviour implications.

Retirement is part of the first design. The handover identifies source and final assets, model and vendor accounts, identity permissions, rights and renewal dates, knowledge sources, prompts and configurations, access, logs, live destinations, outstanding risks and deletion requests. It defines what the client receives, what a provider may retain and which proof of deletion can realistically be obtained. Continuing generation, localisation, moderation, monitoring, support and provider fees apply only for the written term and capacity. NobleJackal does not guarantee platform availability, a flawless likeness, factual correctness, absence of misuse, engagement, reach, ranking, AI citation, leads, sales or revenue.

01

Release authority

Trace every live output or response configuration to an approved identity, source, locale, channel and publisher.

02

Kill switch

Give named owners a tested route to stop output, revoke access, preserve evidence and control return to service.

03

Versioned evaluation

Retest normal, multilingual, refusal and adversarial cases when models, sources or integrations change.

04

Retirement and handback

Close destinations, permissions, accounts, assets, retention, deletion evidence, risks and future-use rights.

CONNECTED COMMISSIONS

The surrounding work stays visible and separately scoped.

These links show where agent behaviour, workflow integration, production, voice, localisation and security become distinct commissions. A connected service is not silently included in an avatar proposal.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions to settle before commissioning an executive AI avatar

01What does an executive AI avatar system cost?

Pricing is supplied upon request after the represented people, scripted or interactive mode, uses, channels, markets, languages, capture, source knowledge, output volume, vendors, integrations, review, disclosure, security, publishing, operation, retention and handover are known. The proposal names exact inclusions. Model, avatar, voice, cloud, API, storage, rendering, studio, talent, music, legal and other third-party costs are excluded unless expressly listed.

02Do we need a scripted video avatar or an interactive knowledge avatar?

Use a scripted avatar when the message can be approved before release and consistency matters more than open conversation. Consider an interactive system only when users genuinely need questions answered from governed sources and the organisation can own security, moderation, escalation, monitoring and continuing knowledge maintenance. NobleJackal can stage the work rather than forcing both modes into one launch.

03Who owns the avatar and can consent be withdrawn?

The contract and vendor terms must distinguish rights in the person’s face and voice, source recordings, scripts, generated outputs, model or configuration and platform account. The represented person’s direct written permission defines purpose, channel, territory, language, term and withdrawal. NobleJackal records the operational removal and revocation route, but does not provide legal advice or promise that every provider can erase every retained artefact.

04Can one avatar speak all six NobleJackal languages accurately?

A provider may technically offer many languages, but capability is not acceptance. Each commissioned locale needs native script review, terminology, names and pronunciation checks, captions, disclosure, rendered-output review and an approved owner. Accuracy, lip synchronisation, tone and available voices differ by language and model version, so an English approval is not reused as proof for Turkish, German, Arabic, Spanish or Russian.

05Can NobleJackal guarantee a safe, lifelike or commercially successful avatar?

No. We can define permissions, restrict knowledge and tools, test named scenarios, review output, add disclosure and provenance, control publication, monitor agreed signals and prepare withdrawal and incident procedures. No responsible supplier can guarantee a perfect likeness, error-free generation, prevention of every misuse, universal legal or platform compliance, uninterrupted service, engagement, reach, cost saving, ranking, AI citation, leads, sales or revenue.
